Who it is for
- Employers whose business has changed since the policy was written.
- Businesses carrying more than one class, or one class across different activities or sites.
- Employers with a head office or a separate service company.
What you get
- The correct classification and why, with the section of the Order it rests on.
- Your wages by activity, which is how the Order measures it.
- If yours is already right, that in writing.
- The WorkCover WA review path if you want to use it, and its one month deadline.
What we need from you
- Wages by activity, or by site, for the policy period.
- Your policy schedule showing the current classification.
- A description of what each part of the business does.
Fee
Fixed fee, quoted in writing before any work starts. Never a percentage of what we find.
A different classification does not automatically reduce your premium. It can land higher. You get the answer either way.
Read the rules
Is your classification right?Your premium rate starts from an industry class somebody assigned when the policy was written. It is set by your predominant business activity, measured in wages, and almost nobody re-tests it.Why your premium changedPremium is declared remuneration times a rate, and four separate things move it. How the rate is built, what your insurer must tell you on request, and the one month deadline on asking WorkCover WA to review it.
